FEMUA is back

Here we go again for the Anoumabo Urban Music Festival (Femua). On the occasion of the launch of the 13th edition, on Thursday March 12, 2020, at the Sofitel Abidjan Hôtel Ivoire, the general curator led by the leader of the Ivorian group Magic, System, Traoré Salif dit A’salfo, unveiled the artistic sheet, with the key to many innovations.

From about fifteen artists in 2019, the artistic program, this year 2020, increases to about twenty big names in the world of music. Youssou N’Dour, Koffi Olomidé, Soum Bill and Kajeem… are among the 21 international and national luminaries to which festival-goers will be entitled. These will be in attraction on the main stages of the festival from the 3rd day (Thursday April 16) now and not the 4th day (Friday).

The General Commissioner also intends to reward men from the media. The Femua Media Prize will then distinguish the journalist who has produced the best article on the Festival.

As usual, the Femua will take place in 5 parts: the Femua Kids, Femua Sport, the social part, Carrefour jeunesse and the Concerts. As for the Femua Kids, it is a miniature Festival that will allow disadvantaged children, under the age of 11, to participate in both fun and educational activities. In terms of social actions, the police station, thanks to its partners, intends to offer two primary schools: one in a village of Tanda and the second in Vavoua.

Conferences, capacity building and information workshops, B to B meetings, around the values ​​of peace and development, are planned as part of “Carrefour Jeunesse”. Athletes will not be forgotten. They will benefit from a football tournament and a popular cross. Thus for the Femua 13, more than 15,000 runners are expected.

The concerts will take place on 4 different sites: Institut Français in the Plateau with the Senegalese evening, Injs, the stage called “Couleur Café” installed in a gastronomic space and finally in Grand-Bassam for the closing concert.
